Ok gonna start with the fact that I have a very basic, rudimentary understanding of how EFI works so feel free to tell me I'm pissing in the wind here.
I was wondering if there was some way for Clover to load some sort of driver for card readers irrespective of the bios support so that Clover could force booting from the sc card even thought the bios doesn't support it? Usecase:
Not the 1st time I've run into a situation like this but I have an Acer Spin 1 with an onboard eMMC that's damaged. The laptop otherwise works but unfortunately there's no way (reasonable) way to change the internal hard drive. The system bios doesnt have the cabability to boot from the sd card, only USB. Allowing Clover to the ability to load the sdcard even if the bios doesnt support it would as some kind of functionality to the device even if it needs a USB to boot it every time.
The Spin card reader is a realtek device but searching for UEFI drivers only gets me ones for networks cards which obviously doesnt help.
So is this even possible or nah?
