I've noticed a few types of codes are not supported. Assuming the work is not exaggerated, this could be solved in the short-term by allowing an external app to do the scan. Consequently future proofing when new formats appear in the future.

I'd rather receive bug reports for the codes that aren't supported to see if there is another way we can fix those. An external scanner app doesn't sound very user friendly.
