This is partly a follow up to CICE-Consortium/Icepack#373 which we may decide not to do much about.

Some of the Zenodo links point back to Icepack1.0.0. If you go here,

https://zenodo.org/record/5423061#.YV8-8qBlAqT

You can see that "supplement to" points to Icepack1.0.0. At the same time, the "GITHUB" box also points to 1.0.0. Neither of those links are quite right.

We also may want to review how datasets are documented on zenodo.

The wrong "supplement to" link is due, I think, to these lines in the Zenodo template:

CICE/.zenodo.json

Lines 92 to 95 in 4147db4

"related_identifiers": [
{
"identifier": "https://github.com/CICE-Consortium/CICE/tree/CICE6.0.1",
"relation": "isSupplementTo"

We should change the version number at the end to m.n.p as in the rest of the template, and manually modify it before each release (or script it or whatever, or even better, automate with GitHub Actions these kind of "pre-release" actions ).

Separately, I think we would have to manually modify the releases on Zenodo to point to the right version on GitHub. I think this is worth doing.

I also noticed that we have 3 Icepack "concept" DOIs

and 2 CICE "concept" DOIs:

maybe that could be cleaned up too, eventually. I saw the separate 1.1 Icepack release links (yellow box) to the corresponding one in the newer Icepack series, but this is not the case for the 1.0.0 Icepack and 6.0.0 CICE releases.... We might need help from Zenodo support (https://zenodo.org/support) to do some of the above.
