Problem with thumbnail / medium image generation

In the thumbnail tool window, I noticed a new checkbox earlier this year that states: "include medium-sized image derivatives in addition to thumbnails". Whether or not this box is clicked, CCH2 is not adding the medium web image url to the database for UCJEPS. It is just the word "empty". The attached image is one of a specimen I processed today (with the medium-sized box checked).

I dont know if the medium sized derivative is being produced and the url is no longer copied or if both processes are bugged. Currently, most of our newest images processed this year have no medium images due to this problem. The interface seems to by default show the large image when you click on the medium image link (if present), so at least people still get to see an image.
