An Ecdysis user reports issues caused by the inconsistent display of subgenera within the portal. Specifically, when a subgenus is not displayed, it can give the impression that a name is not already in the thesaurus, leading to the creation of duplicate taxon entries. This issue may be remediated by displaying subgeneric names more consistently across various user interfaces.
