Rowrenderer spanning rows 'flickering' when scrolling #271

I'm trying to use the rowRenderer to span rows. I'm experiencing an error where the overlapping spanning rows 'flicker' on/off when scrolling. Here is the playground.

Do you know why this behaviour occurs? I'm sure there is something I'm not thinking of.
