Epidemiological studies

Associations Between Smoking and Disease: -

  • Epidemilogical studies consistently show a strong association between smoking and an increased risk of lung cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and respiratory disorders.

Impact of Physical Activity on Health: -

  • Population-based studies demonstrate that higher levels of physical activity are inversely associated with the risk of developing chronic conditions, including type 2 diabete and cardiovascular diseases.

Dietary Patterns and Disease Risk:

  • Epidemilogical evidence suggests that adherence to a mediterranean diet, characterized by high consumption of fruits, vegetables and olive oil, is associated with a lower risk of heart disease and certain cancers.
