Homey can only control RTS devices directly. IO is a private protocol using patented technology, so even if Homey could, it wouldn't be legal. |

On the page https://homey.app/nl-be/talks-with-homey/somfy/ it states a Tahoma switch is not needed to connect Somfy devices. Is that true and recommended?
I have a Homey Pro and I am in the process of buying shutters from Suncircle; these have a Somfy IO motor. I have to choose between a Tahoma switch or a remote to operate the shutters. If Homey can control them, I do not need to buy the Tahoma switch. Or are there other reasons why I would still want to buy it?
In other discussion threads the Somfy connectivity kit is mentioned, but it does not seem to be sold a lot in The Netherlands.
