Laughs Laughs ....Always go by fundamental rule: Look at the logs :) Below is the error log which came up when I tried verifying an email address (same as point 2 in the screen shot)
Went to dig into point two only after spending lot of time on point 1 and 3.

Solution: Installed NTP and ran ntpdate-debian command. Will have to read more to set it up as a service.
Sendy is not talking to Amazon AWS becuae of IAM credentials issue and/or other reasons as well, as shown below -

Also note: These credentials were already correctly set. So somebody must have changed them.
